Hi, I’m Leo Cornelius, a third-year Biomedical Engineering student at Penn State with a minor in German. I’m particularly interested in how engineering, design, and human-centered problem-solving converge to enhance health outcomes and improve everyday life for patients.
I’m particularly interested in medical device development, especially technologies that support people living with Type 1 Diabetes.
The goal for LeoDiabetico is to help as many children with type one diabetes go to diabetic summer camps
I have hands-on experience with MATLAB, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks, and I enjoy applying engineering principles to real human challenges.
In 2022, we raised funds to send five children to Camp Adam Fisher, a specialized diabetes camp where kids build confidence, community, and independence. Our mission is to expand access to camps and supportive resources for families managing Type 1 Diabetes

Leo Diabetico Company is a charitable non-profit organization incorporated in Arden, NC

Summer camps help to assist children with Juvenile Type One Diabetes in managing their own diabeties and being more cofortible with their disease.
